Roasted Red Pepper Soup at Whole Foods

This Whole Foods soup was made with the following ingredients:

Ingredients: Roasted Red Pepper, Water, Sherry Vinegar, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Safflower Oil, Tomato Paste (tomatoes, citric acid), Sea Salt, Garlic, Paprika, Red Chili Pepper.

This soup had a very strong pepper favor. The consistency is similar to tomato soup, thicker than water and with a slight oily mouthfeel. It had a slightly bitter aftertaste as pepper often does. The pepper heat level was very mild. Recently, I've enjoy this soup enough to buy it very frequently, sometimes twice a week on my lunch breaks. This soup also makes a good dip for bread.

Whole Foods Black Bean Quinoa Chili

The local Whole Foods buffet has been closed for a while because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But they recently reopened small parts of it, including the soup area. I was able to enjoy this on my lunch break. This perfectly seasoned Black Bean Quinoa Chili was loaded with veggies. This filled me up and kept me warm.

Whole Foods Super Food Salad

During the COVID-19 pandemic I've been increasing my intake of raw foods that will support my immune system. And one of the only places I can get foods that I trust is Whole Foods. The Super Food Salad was in the deli. I bought this by the weight. This type of food is really cheap since it weighs almost nothing. This salad contained all kinds of healthy immunity building ingredients including blueberries, kale, carrots, goji berries, cashews, and more.

Vegan Ultra Green Spanakopita At Whole Foods

This interesting food was at the deli counter at Whole Foods. This vegan version of a Greek pastry was creamy, tangy, stringy, and soft. I will buy this again. It was excellent!

Red Lentil And Spinach Soup At Whole Foods

This is one of the vegan soups at Whole Foods. This one is a good choice. You can't see the soft chunks of veggies because they settled to the bottom.

I had this for lunch today and it was so good I went back this afternoon to get a large take-out bowl for dinner. The spices give the soup a flavor that you could imagine experiencing in a nice Indian restaurant. This is real comfort food. This soup was excellent!

Cuban Style Vegan Meal at Whole Foods

Whole Foods had a Cuban themed food bar. I loaded up on the veggies.

This meal included Cuban black beans, pineapple fried rice, fried plantain, rosemary sweet potato wedge, caraway cabbage, steamed broccoli, and maple glazed carrots. Everything was excellent except the rice. I don't know why but it had a fishy flavor and it freaked me out. The food at Whole Foods has the ingredients on the label. I saw nothing on the list that would be a fish derivative. Maybe they used a dirty pan.

Whole Foods Vegan Berry Pie

I can't find much information about this Whole Foods pie. It was labeled "vegan" in a stack of other identical pies also marked "vegan", so I trust that it is safe. It was very good. Not too sweet. The crust was flaky and mild. The berry filling was perfectly sweet with chunks of berries. I do wish it had more crust to balance the generous amount of filling, but that's a minor issue.

Whole Foods Salad

I went to the Whole Foods salad bar and loaded up of all kinds of goodies. This salad is mostly mixed greens. I then added an assortment of beans, seeds, and other veggies. I topped it with Bragg Nutritional Yeast. I sprayed it with Bragg Liquid Aminos instead of using a traditional salad dressing. This was good!

Liquid Aminos tastes similar to soy sauce, but it's not as salty. The smaller bottle has a spray pump top for misting veggies with liquid deliciousness.

Whole Foods Roasted Tomato Basil Soup

This Roasted Tomato Basil Soup from the Whole Foods food bar is really good! Tomato soups usually have milk in them. This one had the ingredients clearly listed with a label. No milk!

Ingredients: tomatoes (tomatoes, salt, naturally derived citric acid), onions, leeks, water, roasted garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, spices

Vegan Breakfast at Whole Foods

This is roasted potatoes drizzled with Ninja Squirrel Sriracha sauce, kale, grits, and black beans. This was charged by the weight, so this was not cheap. But it was good!

Breakfast at Whole Foods

This plant-based breakfast includes kale, seasoned potatoes, and tofu scramble. I sprinkled a tiny bit of Ninja Squirrel sriracha sauce on it. Whole Foods isn't cheap. This meal was about $7. I'm just grateful to have a place to eat a real breakfast around here. I usually go heavier on the kale because they charge by weight.

A Veggie Bowl at Whole Foods

I always try to keep this blog positive, even when the food isn't as expected. This last meal at Whole Foods was really bad for a number of reasons. I won't go into detail out of respect and compassion. I'll just show you photographic documentation of my meal and let you figure out the worst part of it.

This was suppose to be a delicious veggie bowl from the prepared food department. I will not be ordering anything from this place again.

Be careful, vegans. Always look at your food before you eat it. If you didn't make it, you don't know what's in it until you dig around and look.
